After Charlie's passing last Saturday, and lots of tears....we decided a new golden retriever puppy would bring us new hope, love and friendship.
We found a great litter of gorgeous golden pups. We wanted another light golden male and from a great blood line. Our pup came from a very sweet St. Louis family in south Lake Charles.
Yesterday we had Will's last soccer game, went to a BBQ at the Harless' farm and brought the boys home and let them rest. While they were resting I went to pick up our new golden. We wanted to surprise the boys. So I recorded the whole thing. It's was the best day ever. They were so happy. He slept inside last night . And all of the boys made a pallet next to him. It was precious. He is such a sweet blessing. We are still deciding on his name.
Thomas and the boys built him a nice puppy pen with a gate that even Simon can reach. Once we decide on his name I will post it. Here is the video and a few pics.

Front Door Fun
Here is my latest creation. These will stay up in between all of the holiday wreaths that I have made for my front doors. I love them :-) and I had to add our "B" just for fun!!! Wreaths are so fun to make this is my newest hobby.
Prayers
Most of you know that last Thursday my mom got the phone call the no one wants to hear. She found out she has breast cancer. Mom had surgery this past Wednesday and to say she is recovering would be an understatement. When she got home Wednesday afternoon she was already walking around and Thursday morning she was driving around running errands. She is doing well and we are waiting to hear back about the lymph node that the doctor removed along with the tumor and tissue around it. We are praying it's clear and that she will only need 7 weeks of radiation. So please continue to prayer for her as her journey is just beginning.
Easter 2013
This Easter break is the first time we haven't gone on vacation or out of town for the holidays. It was so nice having a while ten days off. We celebrated Good Friday with a crawfish bowl and traditional Easter dinner on Sunday. The Brown's came here for Easter. Thomas loves having all of his brothers here to visit hang out and play football and four square. My brother and Aunt Leanne came down too. They are expecting their first baby and we are so excited to find out if the baby will be a boy or a girl. I think they will have all of the girls!!! Lots of food and family. Everyone left Sunday after lunch and we played Risk and Monopoly while we watched it rain. The rest of the week we played and got to see a few movies we had been wanting to see. We saw Oz the great and Powerful and the Croods.
