Citgo Christmas

Citgo - Houston Christmas party! This was such a family fun Christmas party. Fireworks, adult gourmet food, children's carnival food, hot chocolate and dessert bars, video games, jumpers, carnival games, etc. Our boys and WE had the best time. Vary rarely are we "all" in a picture together so this was a must post! We dinned and played and ate right on the field :-)
Me and my LOU!
Let the carnival begin.
How cool is it to play a video game on the same field the Astros play? Very!
Fireworks!
I think Will did this at least 5 times. He was a little rubber band man!
Big Louis!
Astros Dugout! Oh YEAH!

We have been looking for several weeks for our new home but not much luck so we are probably going to be build our new home! We are letting the boys finish out the semester in Katy and they will start back in Lake Charles in January as we return from the holidays! Happy Holidays :-)

Mistletoe and Moss

November 16-19, 2011 I took "The Brown Bobbin" to my first holiday market. Mistletoe and Moss is my Junior League of Lake Charles' annual holiday market. Its such a large fundraiser in our community and raises funds for many of our amazing projects. With my mother in law helping Thomas and the boys and my mother helping me with orders while I monogrammed....it was a huge success and will be doing it again! Thank you both for helping, I couldn't have done it without you ladies. Here is my mother and I at preview party!

It was so much fun seeing old friends, new friends, old teachers, former students, family and just enjoying the holiday festivities and food. The market was so much fun and I kept super busy! My mother had to remind me several times that I had so many orders to do....so stop talking so much! HAHA! But it was so much fun catching up with everyone. It was crazy busy!!! I could get use to this :-) I have officially closed my shop, The Brown Bobbin until 2012.

Here is a picture of my booth. It was hard to get it all in and the lighting was not the best. I will post more later. News to follow soon.....stay tuned!

Hi everyone!!! It's been a little while since I have given you an update about my shop "The Brown Bobbin". My business has really picked up since opening in January of this year. I am so thankful and blessed to have such loyal local and non local customers!!! I have been doing things as simple as adding names to their own items to making complete outfits for them, to making local school personalized ribbons for each player to donating to local schools, churches and LOVING every minute of it!!! If you haven't visited my shop lately, you should!! www.etsy.com/shop/thebrownbobbin

I have several new items and LOTS more NEW items coming in! My most popular sellers her in Katy besides the bloomers are my XL hair bows!!! They are FABULOUS and the girls love to add their initial to make it "theirs"! I love them the little and even high school girls come and browse in my shop!! Their eyes light up and they can't wait to have one in every color :-) Below is a picture of one of my hair bow racks...I have three of them!!! All of my hair bows are solid classics and come in 2 sizes: medium (3-4") and XL (6-7"). Mediums are $3.50 and XL are $5 and they can add an initial for $1. Its so cute to see my bows walking around at Will's school!!

I have always love our holiday market as a child and then when I became a league member it was so much fun to sell the tickets, and help out with the decorations and merchants lounge. I am still a member of the Junior League of Lake Charles (just non resident member)...so I will be so much fun seeing my league ladies, catching up and getting in the holiday spirit!!! I will be bringing everything with me :-) My top sellers and LOTS of new items!!!! I will be there at my "booth" November 16th - 19th! Come by and see me.
